Double Dog Ranch is a year-round dog boarding camp located on a 21-acre farm about an hour north of Portland OR. We provide a free shuttle service to and from Portland twice a week, on Mondays & Fridays. All of our guests are free to explore all day long on our securely fenced paradise of grassy fields and shaded knolls, as well as a babbling brook, two covered patios and a giant playroom in the barn! Our furry friends do everything as a pack…eat, sleep, play, repeat…everyday!

All of our campers do everything as a pack so even if your camper is new to DDR, there’s always someone more than happy to show them the ropes.

It’s a great bonding experience so your pup will make lots of new friends to play with!

We’re all about dogs being dogs here which means lots of freedom and almost no rules.

We play chase and throw balls with everyone, they make up their own doggie games and they even have a llama to play with through the fence!

Lemmy Loves The Ranch!

“I first learned about Double Dog Ranch when one of the boarding facilities in Portland politely declined to board our large and boisterous 9 month old boxer. The owner of the boarding facility suggested that we look into Double Dog Ranch, because she said that she even sent her dog that was a handful there. The ranch is a beautiful place. The large outside play area on the grassy hills is great for dogs that have a lot of energy and personality. Lemmy has since been back to the ranch several times. Now when he gets on the little school bus to head up to the ranch, he doesn’t even look back at us. It is clear that Jonathan and Zoe also love Lemmy. Knowing that he is having so much fun and is being well-cared for, lets us not feel badly about leaving him when we go on vacation. On top of all that Zoe and Jonathan have been great to work with. When our plans have changed and we wanted to extend or shorten Lemmy’s stay, they have been accommodating. In all, the ranch is a beautiful place that is run by dog lovers who provide great customer service.” —MATT
